Springfields, the 45 acre Outlet and leisure attraction asset managed by Chester for UBS Triton completes its 9th consecutive year of turnover growth, and a record Easter. Chappelle Jewellery and Tefal opened their door at Springfields after trade was confirmed as being up by +14% over the Easter period.

Christmas trading period results (Nov and Dec 2013) were:-

Turnover +6.4% on LY

Boxing day, the first day of clearance, turnover lifted +23% on last year

Overall average spend for the period was +4%

First full week of clearance (ending 5th January turnover was +14%)

Ian Sanderson who runs the centre said "Radley signifies where Springfields is heading as a scheme. As the East of Emgland's only Outlet Centre, the catchment covers a large area which is relatively affluent, so represents an excellent opportunity for quiality brands to achieve high sales with sensible overheads".

Major Refurbishment at Motherwell

Chester Properties in conjunction with Columbus Capital have completed a £450,000 refurbishment of Motherwell Shopping Centre and have successfully re-lanched. Works to enhance the fabric of the building and overhaul the lighting and signage were completed on time and within budget and at over 90% let the Centre now represents one of the strongest provincial retail destinations in Scotland.

100% Occupancy at Chester Outlets

Chester has achieved 100% occupancy for Christmas in both its Outlet schemes for the second year running. 98 Units are fully let in the combined 105 acres of leisure and retail at Springfields, east of England & Festival park, mid south wales. Recent results at the centres are showing substantial double digit turnover growth, year on year, and the teams at both centres are looking forward to a great 2014.
